Matthews Seafood Market and Restaurant was born in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean during a long winter night. Its owner, Tom Matthews, a fisherman and a scalloper, used to spend days and weeks out in the water on a fishing boat. It was during one of those trips that the idea of creating a market that specializes in fresh seafood came to him. Bit by bit, this dream began to materialize in his hometown. Through hard work and determination, Matthews Seafood Market and Restaurant became a reality.
Located in a historic building, in the heart Cape May Court House, Matthews Seafood Market is finally the place to go to get fresh seafood; but fresh seafood is not all you will find at the Market. We offer a varied array of prepared foods or take out.
We commit ourselves to serving you the fresh seafood every day combined with the highest quality ingredients, sourcing our products from local organic farmers and fishermen whenever possible.

This little gem in Cape May Court House is worth visiting over and over. Prepared food is very tasty and the fresh seafood is delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating.
